CROWN COLISEUM COOLERS AND FREEZERS UPGRADE

The City of San Antonio is soliciting an offer to removethe existing equipment and provide and install two new Daikin 4-ton Mini Splitsystems to handle the load of the Fire Station No. 3 building. Work willinclude installing two new condensers with a capacity of 48,000 BTU, run newcopper lines to the indoor air handlers that will be installed in the roomswhere no Mini Split exists at this time. The line sets on the exterior wall isto be run inside a line hide cover, run all electrical circuits to all theindoor air handler as well as the condensers, run all the condensate lines toan indoor drain, perform the start-up and to ensure the systems are fullyfunctional. Work will also include removing the shop heater on the second floorand safely cap off the gas line. Work must be done in a manner to minimize anystructural work. If any structural work is needed, such as cutting holes in theceilings or walls, vendor will perform the modifications and attempt toreattach the cut pieces back to their original place as best as possible.

Thefollowing summary of work is provided as a guide to assist contractors inunderstanding the general scope of electrical work that is part of thiscontract. Detailed descriptions and requirements are included in the drawingsand specifications: Thisproject consists of the replacement and reconfiguration of the existing 12.47kVmedium-voltage electrical distribution system serving Buildings C-30, C-31, andC-32. The work includes removal of associated medium-voltage conductors,installation of a new 12.47kV 1-in, 2-out PME-7 sectionalizer and equipmentpad, installation of new underground Quazite pull box, conduits, andmedium-voltage conductors, and reuse of the existing empty conduit pathwayserving the Building C-32 transformer. Existing medium-voltage conductorsserving the Building C-30 and C-31 transformers will remain and be reconnectedto the new sectionalizer. The work will be phased to allow portions of theconstruction to proceed concurrently and will include a coordinated finalsystem cutover intended to minimize the duration of the campus power outage andimpacts to ongoing campus operations. The Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and provides regional water, wastewater, and other services to the greater Denton County Area. UTRWD is currently seeking proposals/bids for the provision of: Fire Sprinkler, Alarm, and Suppression Equipment Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair Services at multiple locations. Upon award, UTRWD is seeking a one (1) year contract with four (4) consecutive one (1) year options to renew that may be awarded to the most successful bidder(s).
